Last of the Mohicans. Hands down. Love me some Daniel Day Lewis and a good soundtrack.
Guacamole. One of my favorite things to do when I travel is to find that country’s version of Mexican food for the sole purpose of getting some guac. There’s been some hits and a lot of misses but always a good story.
Favorite restaurant in DC/VA/MD?
Rasika. And Zaytinya.
Dream vacation or favorite vacation you’ve ever been on?
I live to travel and have had many great adventures around the world but I have long been obsessed with New Zealand, Iceland, Scotland, and Morocco. Hopefully, they’ll make my “been there, done that and can’t wait to visit again” list in the not too distant future. In the meantime, I’ve got Costa Rica on the docket for January and Paris not too long after that – both to visit friends which makes traveling all that much sweeter.
Three people, living or deceased, who you’d invite to the same dinner party?
Morgan Freeman, Sophie Scholl and whomever invented sequins.
Not really a quote per-say but i love Max Ehrmann’s poem, “Desiderata”. A lot of great things in there.
I love LOVE LOVE Thanksgiving. Mostly for the mashed potatoes. And casseroles. But, seriously, it’s one of the few American holidays that is not centered around gifts and have tos but actually just about spending it with people you love.
Favorite part of yoga?
The spandex, a good play list and a shivasana assist (hint. hint)
Where did you grow up?
I am an Army brat so I spent my childhood in a lot of different places both domestic and abroad before settling in Fairport, NY – a suburb of Rochester. Coincidentally, the same hometown as a few of the other TSD staff. But, don’t be confused, this does not mean I like snow or the cold. I do thoroughly enjoy, however, a good trash plate, genny cream ale and glass of finger lakes wine.
