Join Kimberly on Friday, 11/21/2014 from 6:00-9:00pm for an enlightening exploration of mindful living. As defined by Jon Kabat-Zinn, mindfulness is “paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.” As a yoga teacher since 1999 and a student of mindfulness over the past many years, Kimberly’s passion for incorporating it into daily life is infectious. Explore formal (sitting meditation, mindful breathing, walking meditation, body scan) and informal practices (mindful eating, STOP, mindful communication, journal writing) in a nurturing environment. Participants will come away with new tools for dealing with stress in daily life, information on the science behind mindfulness, and an action plan for incorporating mindfulness into daily life.
