Join Lauren for a practice that begins on the mat but will have you dancing across the room by the end. We’ll begin with an energizing vinyasa flow and then explore some of the fundamental vocabulary of jazz dance–including those infamous jazz hands! You’ll move on and off your mat, play with precision, and slink and leap your way around the room to a range of jazz music, Broadway tunes, and funky remixes. Jazz vocabulary works your body in a different way (including a little cardio) and dance gives your soul a chance to sing. Get centered to find your inner performer and show her or him to the world!
Lauren was a dancer before she found yoga and has been delighted to discover the many ways that dance and yoga inform one another. She teaches beginning dance to adults and preteens as well as yoga and performs with Glade Dance Collective.
