For new moms and their infants ages 4 weeks to 6 months or pre-crawling.
Community support is critical for new moms. Carol has been offering a safe place for new moms and their babies to gather with other moms and babes in “Baby and Me” Yoga classes for over 10 years. Join us for a 4-week series where we will talk, relax, and nurture our babies in a tranquil environment to promote comfort, honesty and nurturing support for you and your baby as you begin your journey as a new mom! Bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and diaper bag. Your baby will probably cry, become hungry and tired and need a diaper change during sessions. All of this is expected and completely OK!!
Topics we will cover:
- Session 1 – Eating, sleeping and getting to know your baby. Lecture/info and sharing. Practice tummy time and “baby yoga”.
- Session 2 – Community and self-care. Resource, sharing. Yoga class and partner work and savasana assists.
- Session 3 – Choices: career, day care, schools. Sharing. Journaling. Practice baby massage with oils.
- Session 4 – Pelvic floor health and getting back into shape. Learn exercises to bring the pelvic floor and core abdominal muscles back.
