With phrases like “shoulder the burden” and “carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders”, we know on some level that our own shoulders see and respond to a lot of stress. How we carry the upper body in our posture and gestures also portrays to those around us our particular mood or energy. Learn how to un-burden this part of the body and take the extra tension off. In this workshop we will explore the anatomy of the wrists and shoulders and through our asana practice discover how we can safely begin to place weight on these intricate structures.
This workshop is designed for yoga teachers and advanced practitioners with a foundational understanding of human anatomy. Continuing education units (CE) are available for yoga teachers upon successful completion and per request. This is workshop is part of our Advanced Teacher Training, but all yogis are welcome.
