It’s Teacher Training Season!

Choose your own teacher training journey at Tranquil Space with a plethora of options! All of our teacher training programs are Yoga Alliance Certified.

Start your journey with LEVEL 1 Teacher Training (33 hours). This three-weekend course is a great introduction to teacher training and a mandatory course to enter our Level 2 training. Starting September 5th, this program is a great way to see if teaching yoga is something you want to do or to simply deepen your own practice.

If this introductory training left you yearning for more, take the plunge and continue your journey with our LEVEL 2 Teacher Training (200-hour) program, which starts October 4th. This program offers a unique path for students interested in learning to teach vinyasa yoga or further deepen their own practice. It has been designed to exceed Yoga Alliance teacher training standards, and (fun fact!) was the first program in DC approved by Yoga Alliance.

For those who would like to deepen their teaching, we offer an Advanced Teacher Training (500-hours) for 200-hour trained teachers. Starting September 12th, this program is most suitable for those who wish to further their learning and advance their teaching practice. Students may complete the training for 500-hour certification in one year or over the course of two years. The full training meets the Yoga Alliance guidelines for a 500-hour certification. The training is also open to students of yoga who wish to simply deepen their understanding of the practice through weekend modules or public workshops.

We have additional specialized teacher training available, suitable for anyone with or without previous teacher training experience:

Learn how to teach baby & me yoga classes with our Postnatal Teacher Training with Carol Collins, the teacher that started postnatal yoga classes in DC. Starting September 20th, this training will involve learning about the physiological and psychological needs of postnatal women and the developmental milestones for babies 6 weeks to 12 months. Learn how to teach a class that includes both parent and baby, observe baby and me classes, and practice teaching a class.

Choose our Prenatal teacher training starting October 5th with Anne Thiel – an experienced midwife and trained doula. In this training, you will learn more anatomical and physiological particularities of pregnancy and how they pertain to the yoga asana practice, will help you develop a well-rounded prenatal yoga class, and teach you how to integrate childbirth preparation into your prenatal yoga classes.
