Yoga for Alzheimer’s and their Caregivers
Alzheimer’s is a rapidly growing disease that is likely going to affect also your life at some stage, as well as that of millions of other Americans and their caregivers. This workshop will discuss background and elaborates on how yoga could contribute to the well-being of Alzheimer’s patients and improve the quality of life of all the people around this devastating disease. The workshop will finish with a practice of compassionate yoga dance, wherein we drop the perfection of postures and impose less emphasis on alignment. Instead, the focus will be on an energetic spiritual experience of connection.
This workshop is free but a suggested donation of $10 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
This workshops is a works of love by our teachers in the Advanced Teacher Training program (ATT). They represent their central thesis work and involve a lot of passion, study, research, and hard work. All are welcome, but space is limited.
