This four week program will take you step by step through the barre technique—a perfect introduction for anyone interested in attaining the long, lean muscles of a ballet dancer. Classes will be weekly 60 minute long sessions, covering the foundational concepts of the barre method. We will focus on strength and alignment, alternating between toning individual muscle groups to lengthening the body through yoga-inspired stretches. At the end of this program, you will feel lean and lithe—and hooked on the infamous barre burn!
Sign up for the full 4-week series or drop in for an individual class. For more information: https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/ASP/adm/home.asp?studioid=261
Megna Paula has been a dancer all her life, and spent most of her school years either practicing, performing, or teaching dance. She found her passion for fitness as an undergraduate at Duke University, where she started teaching spin classes and also began her journey as a yogi. Megna was thrilled to discover barre classes in the District– it was love at first tuck! She was trained at b.fit for barre and Mimi Rieger Yoga for her 200 hour yoga certification. In between tucking, spinning, and sun saluting, Megna muses about life, love, and fitness on her blog, megnapaula.com. She is thrilled to share her passion for barre and yoga at Tranquil Space!
