This Friday – AcuYin Bliss

AcuYin Bliss is a 2-hour workshop, which includes 60 min of a yin yoga practice followed by a 45 min restorative auricular (ear) acupuncture treatment received during savasana. Yin yoga is a practice where one holds asanas or shapes for anywhere between 3-5 minutes working into the deep connective tissues of the body.

This practice works with the meridian energy lines of the body by unlocking the fascia. Yin yoga increases mobility and flexibility in the joints and in the connective tissue of the body. Auricular therapy has a long history of use in China and is a complete medical system in Chinese Medicine. It was mentioned in the most famous of ancient Chinese medical textbooks, “The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine.” In modern times, auricular therapy has been shown to stimulate the release of endorphins, the body’s own feel-good chemicals. Your savasana will include one or two acupuncture needles in each ear. These auricular points help to alleviate stress and anxiety while aiding to balance one’s energy.
