Join Kristin Leal on Saturday, March 15 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at TS Dupont for Anatomy of Stress

Stress actually has a physiological response in your body. When this stress response, or to be fancy sympathetic nervous system activation, is turned on through chemical stimulation we are allowed to turn into superheroes with super human strength and reflexes to fight or flee from a dangerous situation. The problem is that we learn to nudge and annoy this system even when there is no immediate threat to be found. This can very literally wear down the tissues of the body.

Through our lecture we will talk about the chemical response of stress and why it might not be a good idea to marinate in them. Then of course leading to how to turn off this stress response and help to turn on the relaxation response where all of the body and minds housekeeping activities can be performed….ahhhhhh.

This is a part of our Advanced Teacher Training and CEs can be earned.
