Join Katie this Saturday (11/16 from 7-9p) for a guided practice of mediation, pranayama (breath work), yin yoga, and yang yoga. Yin yoga targets the deep, dense connective tissues of the body – the tendons, ligaments and cartilage – and helps to cultivate qualities of inner stillness, receptiveness, and surrender. Yang yoga targets strength and flexibility in the muscles and helps to cultivate qualities of vibrancy and stability. Our practice will focus on the yin organs and meridians associated with the autumn season – the lungs and large intestines – which, when in balance, lead to greater confidence, courage, and ability to withstand adversity. Come prepared for an integrated practice of seated meditation, pranayama, seated yin poses, and basic yang (standing and flow) poses. Beginners are welcome!
