Tomorrow – Yoga Tools for Weight Loss

According to the CDC, more than two-thirds of the US adult population is overweight or obese. In this workshop, we will discuss current findings on weight loss and how and whether asana, meditation and pranayama can assist students in reaching a healthy weight by reconnecting with their bodies. Ever wondered how many calories can you burn in a yoga class? Can yoga really help you lose weight? Can yoga help us make better food choices? The yoga practice may offer a path to long-term awareness of the importance of not only a healthier diet, but an overall healthier outlook on life. We will finish with an integrated practice and meditation that can help students engage and find peace with their bodies. All levels of practice are welcome!

from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm at TS Dupont.

This workshops is a works of love by our teachers in the Advanced Teacher Training program (ATT). They represent their central thesis work and involve a lot of passion, study, research, and hard work. All are welcome, but space is limited.
