Purpose, Postures & Prayer: Yoga as Experiential Worship

2144746621-1

Yoga can be a tool to elevate each of our unique faith, or spiritual, experiences. Yoga is not a religion, but a linking point. This workshop will examine the connection between yoga and worship. We will discuss the concepts of intention and worship, how yoga can facilitate a worship experience, and the union of yoga and Christianity. We will also journal using a guided exploration to pray through the chakras and rediscover our life’s blessings. Finally, a communal practice will help us experience our purpose, postures and prayers on the mat. The only prerequisite is a mindset of thanksgiving! All levels of experience are welcome. Wendy Maines will be leading this workshop.

This workshops is a works of love by our teachers in the Advanced Teacher Training program (ATT). They represent their central thesis work and involve a lot of passion, study, research, and hard work. All are welcome, but space is limited.
