Favorite part of yoga?
That it’s applicable to almost everyone and the benefits are countless. I also find it quite amusing that at its inception women were forbidden to practice. Ha! I love when bigotry (especially when it’s thought of as high-minded) is snubbed, antiquated and then forgotten.
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Kansas City, Missouri & moved to LA when I was 12.

The Guanyin of the Southern Sea statue at the Nelson’s Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, MO
What inspires you?
Those who fight the good fight who manage to maintain their hope for humanity and not lose sight of why they’ve made certain sacrifices.

Dream vacation or favorite vacation you’ve ever been on?
I’d like to ride a motorcycle all over South America & base jump off Christ the Redeemer in Rio.
Favorite yoga pose and why?
Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose or Cobbler’s Pose). I used to sleep in this position when I was little. It’s a comfort to me.
