Tranquil Space is excited to be partnering with District D*I*Y!

TS team member and Yogini, Sarah McCall, launched District D*I*Y to foster creativity and hands-on learning among Washingtonian’s, one DIY class at a time. District D*I*Y is excited for our inaugural class tomorrow, hosted in the wonderful TS Lab space!

The Details:
Knitting Crash Course
Wednesday, October 10th
from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Interested in learning how to create your own hand-knit items? In this workshop, TS yogini and knitter Kathleen Lam will teach you the basics of knitting and get you started on making a pair of finger-less mittens to welcome Fall. You’ll learn how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, and seam as well as learn how to read a simple knitting pattern.

No experience needed. This class is a great place to start for anyone curious about the craft of knitting.

The cost is $20. Materials will be provided. Please bring $15 paid to Kathleen for the cost of materials and a small bag for your project.
