Jamie began her Yoga journey at a Baptiste-style studio in Massachusetts in 2005 to assist her recovery from swimming-related shoulder surgeries and to help relieve stress from her graduate studies. After her move to the DC area, Jamie’s Yoga practice was mostly home-based until she stumbled upon Tranquil Space Arlington in 2010. Jamie completed Tranquil Space’s TT200 hour certification in 2011 and is a Teaching Assistant and Tranquility Concierge at TSA. Jamie spends her work days as a business ethics professional and tries to fit photography, good food and music into everyday life.
Meg was referred to Hatha yoga by a physician five years ago as an alternative to physical therapy, learning immediately how fortunate she was to have been given this choice in her own healing. As her practice deepened, Meg found a home in the Vinyassa style, and specifically in the Tranquil Space cOMmunity. Meg took a leap in August 2011 with Tranquil Space’s level 1 teacher training and completed the level 2 certification in April 2012. Meg seeks to create a calm, positive, relaxing and yet fun and creative space where discovery is central to the communal and individual practice.
Kimberly discovered Tranquil Space in 2005 when she was a newly-minted lawyer looking for some zen-like balance and has been a grateful yogini ever since. She loves the strong sense of community at both the Dupont and Arlington studios. She completed her 200-hour Teacher Training in 2010 and assists in Kimberly Wilson’s Monday night Yoga & Meditation class at 8PM. Kimberly is excited to be teaching the Monday and Thursday 6:45AM classes at the Arlington studio and is looking forward to seeing you in one of her classes soon.
