Continuing our series on stimulating the senses, we’re highlighting something which is very important to us: assists. Our teachers don’t just “teach from the mat”. They’re attentive to the needs of each yogi. Proper alignment is clearly key to the quality of your practice so we make it a point to nurture your growth in every class.
The main yoga style we teach at Tranquil Space is called vinyasa. The Sanskrit meaning for Nyasa is “to place” and Vi means “in a special way”. Our teachers and teacher’s assistants take special care to make sure you’re placed in just that “special way” which helps you understand your body better and in the process expand your expectations of the benefits of yoga.
“The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery.” – Mark Van Doren
