Greetings ladies! Ready for some spring cleaning?
Then join us this Saturday at TSA for a Spring Clothing Swap–a chance to transform your seasonal wardrobe overhaul into a fun fashion affair…
How does it work? Bring 10-20 underused clothing items, swap them out, and leave with with some sparkly, new-to-you items. Also, please bring a snack to share so that we can double the fun by enjoying a yummy potluck as we browse the racks.
Reasons to join us?
Do it for others (for a good cause!): Remaining clothes will be donated to N Street Village, a community of empowerment and recovery for homeless and low-income women in DC, and donation entry fees will be given to My Sister’s Place, a nonprofit serving battered women and their children in DC. Plus, what could be more green than recycling your old treasures for new ones?
Do it for you (acquire new-to-you threads for spring!): We call out each item one by one, and each participant will have a chance to raise their hand to either try on or immediately keep the piece! You’ll also have the option to try it on and then toss it back into the pile or pass it to the second person who raised their hand
Other details: We ask that each gal contribute 10-20 pieces of clothing and/or accessories in good condition (no overly worn, torn, forlorn pieces, please). We also suggest wearing layers to make wardrobe transitions easier for impromptu cat walks in other shoppers’ wares! *This event is chicks only.
$10 Donation for My Sister’s Place + 10-20 items required for entry. Sorting begins at 5:00, and swapping begins at 5:30pm! Please sign up online here, so that we know you’re coming (registration desired, however, not required for attendance).
Hope to see you there!
