Care Package from Costa Rica

Mama Wilson donning her TS tee for 7am yoga with Pari in Costa Rica
In keeping with tradition, it’s time for another care package offering from travels in exchange for feedback.
I’m pulling together a goodie bag from Costa Rica with coffee, tea, and chocolate. One for a Tranquility du Jour blog reader and one for a Tranquil Space yogi. In addition, I’ll include a lavender-scented, locally sewn, organic bamboo treat from TranquiliT!
To enter, simply share a love note, tranquil tip, request for future offering, or fun fact about yourself in the comment section below and I’ll choose the winner at random on Sunday, July 10. The winner will be announced on this blog and Facebook Sunday evening.
Thank you for supporting our community o’ tranquility! Namaste.

Took a Yoga 2 class at TSA this past Sunday, and Megan provided extra assists to us (in addition to Lisa, the teacher)– never had an additional assist in a class and liked it a lot– makes a difference. I always appreciate it when someone helps to “fix” a pose or get a deeper stretch. Thanks!!

I just signed up as a new student! My daughter Lauren recommended TS to me. She has since moved to Savannah where she earned a 200-hour teacher-training certificate. However, her heart remains at TS – Dupont Circle where she began her teacher-training journey a few years ago.

I just did yoga on a stand up paddle board yesterday morning. They call it SUP yoga. Maybe TS could do a workshop on the potomac. It was so fun and required a lot of balance. A great way to rediscover your practice.

I would love for Tranquil to offer the 21 day yoga challenge again! I wanted to participate in the one in June, but couldn’t commit with a busy summer schedule. I think the fall would be a good time!

Thanks for keeping the blog going. I love taking a break from my work day to read something positive. One suggestion I had is to add music playlists to the blog. I practice at TSA and love all the energizing and relaxing music I hear during class. I would greatly appreciate a list of the songs to download for enjoyment outside of class.

I joined TS in August after I broke my ribs surfing in Costa Rica. I decided to try yoga when I wasn’t able to run, play soccer or do any of my regular activities. I wasn’t sure yoga would give me the work out I craved, but if I just avoided the twists – at least it was an option to be active. I attended a Newbie workshop and never looked back. TS has become a must do for my physical and spiritual health. I learned so much in the newbie workshop. Now that I’ve got almost a year of yoga behind me, I would love a follow-up refresher to take my practice deeper, learn variations, and expand my understanding of each posture. It all started in Costa Rica with a broken rib – thanks TS!
