Get in touch with your creative side

We all know that yoga exercises not only your body, but your mind and spirit as well. We’ve got two workshops coming up in June that will help to increase the flexibility in your mind and expand your creative side. Beginners to yoga and the creative arts are welcome!

Yoga and Poetry on Sunday, June 19 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Join Mary Catherine for an afternoon of exploration, practice, and creativity, as we discover the ways in which yoga awakens the poetic side of our beings. This workshop will focus on using poetry as a therapeutic tool for delving deeper into one’s practice, emotions, state of mind, and desires. We will open with a practice meant to awake and inspire, focusing on opening the body and mind for creativity. Practice will be followed with time to write individual yoga-inspired poetry. Join the workshop for just $30 if you sign up online. Bring a journal, something to write with and an open mind.

Yoga and Knitting on Sunday, June 26 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Through yoga and through knitting, we learn about connection. In yoga, we connect movement to breath and body parts to each other. In knitting, we weave the yarn together to create a piece of fabric. both processes can become very meditative and allow our minds calm down and gain clarity, while recognizing connections and patterns in our lives in a subtle and profound way.

Join Anne, an avid knitter of masterpieces since age 14, for a 2-hour workshop with a brief initial yoga practice, a knitting and chatting session and a concluding yoga practice to relieve knitting-sore muscles. Please bring yarn and needles. Join this workshop for just $25 by signing up online.
