it’s always nice to have a place where you can feel at home.
i came to dc from japan almost 5 years ago, with my husband’s company’s assignment. the first year was tough, i had rarely driven in tokyo but had to here and my 4 year old son was always crying because he missed people in japan and couldn’t understand what people were saying.
i found tranquil space bethesda at that time. the first class i took was unforgettable. i liked siobhan, and the friendly environment, cookies, boutique etc. it was so fancy and filled with a happy vibe. i really appreciated a place where i could simply return to myself.
when my son’s english became better and there was no worry about him, i thought i need to take a leap. so i took one of kimberly’s retreats and that challenged me to take teacher training (tt2). that was a life changing experience and i made a lot of wonderful friends in this community. as my training went, it became clear what i was up for: supporting and sharing yoga with women and kids.
last year i happily started to assist carol’s “baby and me” twice a week. i am always proud to work for tranquil space and learn from carol. i feel very relaxed and at home when i assist & chat with the wonderful moms and babies. the moms and babies are also my teachers. i have learned a lot from them! i feel great after assisting the babies and when i see moms and babies exiting the front door with happy faces, i’m ecstatic.
thank you tranquil space for giving me such a wonderful time in this country, and thank you for taking me in this blooming community!
