race for the cure

i think i am addicted…to race for the cure. every year, i know what to expect, and every year my expectations are surpassed.

this year, our team, tranquil space yogis raised $729!!! the air was cool and crisp, perfect day for the race. we had a surprise visit from vp biden and his wife jill as well as a number of guest speakers.  the energy in the air was electric, and a few of us talked about how moved we were to see survivors and tributes to loved ones. and to top it all off, some of us caught the all female drumming group batala after the race, performing in front of the capital as the sun peeked out to kiss our faces. thanks to all who supported us in spirit, we hope you can join us next year as the quest to find a cure for breast cancer continues. our team consisted of: dibora amanuel,  norina chahla, tim mooney, kimberly wilson, pooja sharma, malini handa, sangeeta gupta, linday kramer, jeanette anderson, tim kanczuga, beatriz prieto-oramas, crystal rosario and me. together we can, and do, make a difference.

look for a great karma yoga event coming up at the end of the month to benefit lift me up!
